Hello and welcome to the first installment of Problems and Prophecies: a show where I, Seamus, will give you insight into the life of a modern witch. Let it also be clear that all advice is up to interpretation, and should be taken with a grain of salt. Today, we will be discussing hexes, or what some call “black magic”. I, myself, am not one who strictly believes in karma, so I’m not afraid of ruining someone with something they can’t prove exists. BUT PLEASE GOD DON’T KILL SOMEONE, THAT IS ILLEGAL. Now, there are many different ways to perform a hex, but the most important aspect of the spell is your intent. The more you hate the person or organization, the harder they fall. When I want someone to burn, I take it quite literally. Burning objects is a great way to visualize the intent of your hex being released out to them. You can simply write their name on a piece of paper and wish for them to trip on their shoelaces and fall, hard. If you have a sweatshirt that belonged to your ex, throw it in a fire pit and try to remind yourself that you won’t be alone forever and wHY AM I CRYING? IT WAS SIX MONTHES AGO! Anyway, this method is great for all different kinds of spell work, so feel free to incorporate it into something other than a hex. A spell jar is another way to create a wonderful hex. Take any jar and fill it with different objects that work together to form your hex. I like to use rusty nails, dirt, and my own tears. If you burned something, the ashes of whatever you burned also work magnificently. As you place the objects into the jar, let your intentions sink into each thing you are using. Once you are finished, seal the jar and dispose of it. I like to bury mine or shatter them on something hard, so biodegradable materials should be used if you have access to them. It’s also important that you do this away from your home. You don’t want those negative energies literally on your doorstep. If a hex is a little too dark for you, there are other ways to make someone’s life miserable. Bless everyone around them to indirectly make their life seem less glamorous than everyone else’s. This can be done with the previous methods mentioned by simply changing the intent of your spell, or by saying small incantations to yourself to bless those around you. Do whatever makes you feel comfortable; a witch using only their finger can be just as powerful as a witch burning one hundred dollar bills in a fire pit of gold. And if you know the latter witch, donations can be made out to Seamus Mulready. Well there you have it folks: hexes in all of their beauty. As long as you’re having fun, who cares if you cause someone’s hair to fall out. For more lessons on the craft, tune in next time to Problems and Prophecies. Goodbye!
